New Series Fiction

It’s no secret that many of the new books for teens being published are parts of series — series are a great way to expand a story over multiple books and follow characters through not just one volume but many. For those who have been eagerly awaiting the next books in popular series, here are some of the latest:

Bits & Pieces (Rot & Ruin, Book 5) by Jonathan Maberry — Twenty-two short stories, eleven of which were previously published, based on the Rot & Ruin series in which fifteen-year-old Benny Imura and his friends fight a zombie plague in a post-apocalyptic America. Includes a related comic book script.

Blood Will Tell (Point Last Seen, Book 2) by April Henry — Teen Portland Search and Rescue team member Nick Walker becomes a prime suspect in a murder.

The Conformity (The Twelve-Fingered Boy Trilogy, Book 3) by John Hornor Jacobs — Shreve, along with Jack and his mute girlfriend Ember, travel to Maryland to solve the mystery behind “the elder,” the ancient, malevolent force hidden near Baltimore, which has been sending psychic tremors out into the world causing mayhem, mass suicides, and the beginning of the end of civilization.

Crystal Kingdom (The Kanin Chronicles, Book 3) by Amanda Hocking — Bryn’s only ally against those who have taken over her kingdom is Konstantin, and despite knowing that he is too dangerous her heart tells her she can trust him, but as the entire troll world stands on the brink of war, the Trylle, specifically Finn Holmes, and Ridley, her first love, come to her aid.

Daughter of Dusk (Midnight Thief, Book 2) by Livia Blackburne — As tensions rise within Forge’s Council, and vicious Demon Rider attacks continue in surrounding villages, Kyra knows she must do something to save her city. But she walks a dangerous line between opposing armies: will she be able to use her link to the Demon Riders for good, or will her Makvani blood prove to be deadly?

The Dickens Mirror (Dark Passages, Book 2) by Ilsa J. Bick — Emma wakes up trapped in the body of a grown Victorian woman trapped in an insane asylum, and must find a way a way back to Reality or else her friends and family will die with her.

Empire of Night (Age of Legends, Book 2) by Kelley Armstrong — Separated while trying to save the children of their village, twin sisters Ashyn and Moria must draw on all their power and influence to defeat enemies of legend and avert war in the empire.

The Fate of Ten (The Lorien Legacies, Book 6) by Pittacus Lore — In order to thwart the Mogadorian invasion, a group of the Garde head to a pyramid in Mexico in order to awaken a power that can save the world.
