🏖️ Summer reading, and summer not — but hopefully you are!
A reminder that all books were due back to the library May 30th (unless you’re in English 11 and have something for independent reading — we’ll need those back this week). However…if you are a freshman, sophomore or junior in good standing (meaning, no library overdues) and expect to be back at the Academy next year, you can take up to 5 books home for the summer — we’ll make them due back on September 15th! Stop by the library and browse our collection of over 20,000 titles — wow!
Of course, our digital library is open all year long, 24/7 — the Sora Digital Reading app includes thousands of eBooks and audiobooks from these libraries:
Library | # eBooks | # Audiobooks |
CA Library | 1,300+ | 3,200+ |
Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES | 5,800+ (including comics and magazines) | 800+ |
OWWL (Pioneer Library System) | 21,000+ | 11,000+ |
Finger Lakes Library System | 10,000+ | 6,000+ |
Southern Tier Library System | 18,000+ | 5,000+ |
Not sure how to add all of these libraries to your Sora account? This blog post — Sora Digital Reading Libraries Expanded — has all the details!
But wait…there’s more! Wood Library downtown has a summer schedule full of fun activities! Katie Smith, Teen Services Librarian, has put together this video highlighting what your public library has to offer this summer, including:
