Harry, A History

I’ve been reading Melissa Annelli’s new book Harry, A History: The True Story of a Boy Wizard, His Fans, and Life Inside the Harry Potter Phenomenon. Annelli is the webmistress for The Leaky Cauldron, one of the most popular HP-related websites…but if you’re a fan, you already knew that : ). She offers a fascinating inside look at the Potter phenomena, how it grew in part because of access to information through the Web, and details how she went from being a unemployed college graduate to managing editor of “The Most Trusted Name in Potter.”

I’ve added an RSS feed from the Leaky Cauldron to the feed strip on the right…you’ll find it under the School Library News feed. And, according to the countdown, there are less than three days until The Tales of Beedle the Bard release date. Fortunately, you won’t have to pay the $3.98 million Amazon.com bid at the 2007 auction.
